While Jesus was fully God, Jesus was also fully human: he sweated with fear, bled when struck, grew weary and exhausted…much like we do! Engaging our own senses is a key way we can relate to the ancient story of Jesus’ final days, crucifixion, and resurrection during the season of Lent (Ash Wednesday – Easter Sunday). Slow down this season to notice the Lenten journey all around and within you: the sights, smells, tastes, textures, and sounds. How will the sensations of Lent come alive for you? Find out when you participate in this Sensing Lent Small Group this Lenten season! Sensing Lent is a six-week small group study (March 6 – April 10) that uses the artwork of Scott Erickson as a jumping off point to engage our senses. Thanks to Highrock Church for sharing this study with us.
